Well I am a week over my due date and still no baby so I am being induced at 8:00am tomorrow morning. It is a cervadil induction so I expect that I will be sent home, and then who knows how long it will take me to go into labor and then how long labor will take on top of that. But one thing I know for sure:
I AM GOING TO MEET MY BABY THIS WEEKEND!!! YAY!
Its been a long wait and I really cannot believe that it is finally here. I really cannot comprehend that I will be bringing a baby home. That I will be a mom. That there really is a living, breathing human being inside of me that will come out this weekend. Its just so surreal.
I am nervous for labor. Because my body hasn't really "worked" like it is supposed to work thus far, I worry that maybe it wont perform when it comes time to get this baby out. Man, I hope I don't have to have a c-section. Being so small, I worry about that. But, so long as baby is healthy, then I am happy.
I have been having contractions.....no, not braxton hicks contractions, but REAL and INTENSE contractions for quite some time now. As I type this I am getting them about once every 10 minutes. But nothing is happening!!! They just aren't getting closer together. Oh well, hopefully they will have prepared me somewhat for labor.
Anywho, I am off to get my last minute preparations out of the way.
Next post: meet my baby!!!

Congratulations Leah, you will do great!
ReplyDeletecongrats! i'm glad you're realistic about how long it might take. I was a cervical induction as well, took 36 hours. But on the other hand I know some people have gone in WAY less than that. I'm excited to see photos and I'm super jealous of you that you're almost done being pregnant! good luck!
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion: In order to get rid of being awake during the night, you HAVE to wake her up and feed her every 2 hours during the day. If 2 hours leads to 3 hours don't worry but try to keep her on that sort of schedule during the day. This happened to me so I know where you are at. Message me on facebook if you need any other advice or help!
